Around 25,000 residences in southeastern Queensland woke up experiencing outages on Monday morning after powerful weather events swept through the state, generating powerful gusts hitting 109 kilometers per hour.

Substantial Frozen Precipitation and Widespread Impact

Locals observed large ice chunks reaching sizes of seven centimeters in particular locations. Meteorological experts announced that different parts across the state had been impacted by large hailstones.

Weather Forecast

Humid circumstances were forecast to persist along significant areas of eastern Queensland this coming days as a weather pattern continued to draw in moisture against the coastal areas.

The following day was forecast to be the wettest day, with persistent storm activity expected across various areas of both states.

Public health experts warned that there was an increased chance of epidemic thunderstorm asthma across the state's northern country region, especially given the ongoing climate situation.
